Why is the soundtrack of The Hobbit so beautiful *.* I get goosebumps almost every time. Forget Ennio Morricone and all those famous film music artist. Howard Shore is the awesome dude.

Perhaps because the song that forms the central motif of the OST has been a part of The Hobbit since its book days. Even the version of it that played in the Hobbit cartoon made my heart swell. :-)

And yes, Thorin proves what I have always believed about Dwarven sex appeal. :-D

Oh man, yes the soundtrack is gorgeous! I bought the song you linked and the version of the Misty Mountains song you hear in the film and I listen to them all the time, they're just so gorgeous (you can buy the entire soundtrack on iTunes).
