Important stuff! You know.

So, I was in the library again. :D Researching a bit for my next entry for the [livejournal.com profile] fe_contest . And I remembered something.
I need YOU for a survey. So listen up-

Ready? Go.

What image springs to your mind at the word "knight"? No, Fire Emblem is not allowed. I mean a historical "correct" knight. Don't think too much about it, just keep the image of that knight in front of your eyes. Now look at these pictures and tell me which one of the knights resembles your image the most.

Geoffrey! What are you doing there?! Number 6 is obviously not a valid answer. Bad Geoffrey!

I'm innocent. I didn't tell him to take off the apron.

Now, please tell me which knight resembles your image. I'm just curious. This is no test. At least not really.

LOLOL Geoffrey

Anyway, number 3 for me, then maybe 5. IDK, jousting is sexy...I mean horrible. Yeah, horrible. Gonna put that in my FE7 novelization somehowwwww. I must. It's too cool not to.

But 5 runs a close second. followed by four, one, and two. IDK, two looks Roman...knight-ish, so still knight-y (they all look knight-y), but not as much as the others. XD

Jousting is awesome and dangerous; a sexy combination. (Also, since I research tournaments for my entry, I'm gonna make a short post about it. Sometime. In the hopefully near future.)

Anyway, you chose number 3, the Carolingian Lance Knight, approximately 8th century, and number 5, the Norman rider, 11th century. Either Early or High Middle Ages. Also, both resemble a bit the Fire Emblem Armour Style.

Interesting! XD My first association is number 4 (Very Late Middle Ages). It's just the most stereotypical portrayal around here.

(Number 2 is actually French.)

Lol, I confused number 2 and 3 XD. Number 3 is the French knight, late 14th century. Number 2 is the Carolingian Lance Knight. Shame on me

XD

I think the third one is the most "knightish". xDD

So the French knight, late 14th century. Interesting...

'Course not. I just wondered how the image of a stereotypical knight varies. Especially how a stereotypical knight looked for people from different countries. As far as I know, here in Germany number 1 and 4 are the most stereotypical portrays.
