Why can I never think of a good title?

I'm researching for my term paper for my Middle High German proseminar. I think I'm even making some progress. Awesome~ Though reading literature for it makes me tiiiired =3= More than it should.

Also, I've noticed something quite amusing (at least for me). I do have a dialect. For years I thought that I didn't have one (which was stupid in retrospect) but lately I notice more and more that I have one. It's funny. Though I only notice a few words. I mean, if you try to listen closely to your own speech, you automatically speak differently. So it's rather hard to notice things like that. But, as I said, it amuses me. (Yes, strange things amuse me.)

I also finally finished my pic for the Fire Emblem anniversary event on deviantArt. Took me ages. But I quite like it. Geoffrey and Bastian are awesome~

And there is one small vocab question again =3= So if someone could help me...

"I was terrified when I saw you falling in the water and not rising up again."

Would you use "rise up" in that context? (There's a flashback how Franz nearly drowned in a creek. And Forde makes this little comment above directly afterwards.) Or "re-surface"? Or anything else? I already consulted my dictionary and my Collocations dictionary. They refuse to help me >:[

Yeah I'd probably go with "I was terrified when I saw you fall in the water and not resurface again."

"Rise up" isn't a commonly used phrased and it has more of the connotation of standing/taking a stand in a very dramatic context, often religious or revolutionary. I just checked my Oxford to see what it says and it defines "rise up" as: "cease to be submissive or peaceful."

Hope that helps. :)
