Plotbunnies my mind will (very probably) never give birth to, Part 2
So! You'll get some tl;dr about a plotbunny I had only for a short time, but I can't keep it ;A; Maybe it'll find a new, nice owner~
It's onesided femSeth/Fado goodness. With lots of hurt and self-delusion and onesided heartache and all the good stuff 8D
Some little context; it's the fault of all the nice femSeth. Semi-happiness with Eirika is all nice and well, but since I'm more or less indifferent about Seth/Eirika at the moment (still like it, but not actively), I kinda (wanting to) interpret them as having a more sibling-like relationship. Which doesn't have that much to do with this plotbunny apart from the fact that I'm looking for cracky Seth pairings. And what would be crackier than femSeth/Fado? 8D
The idea started with a scene between femSeth (who will be called Sophia for the rest of this rambling) and Eirika with Eirika asking her why they can't be (she interpreted Sophia´s conduct as her being in love with Eirika). And Sophia answers "Because I am in love with your father". Homg, that was an awesome scene. Drama, om nom nom.
Which then led to me trying to find a way to make a plausible story. Which went like this:
It's nothing unusual for a king of Renais to have a comcubine if they want. As long as he is still married, the queen has to agree (how voluntary that is depends on the individual; she just has to official agree). When he is widowed or not married, only the concubine and her husband have to agree (if she has one). There are clear rules about any possible offspring (they won't be able to inherit the title king, but they do get advantages). It is extremely prestigious to be the king´s concubine (just as much as being the wet nurse of the prince/princess) and brings many benefits to the family.
Fado already has a concubine (because Lina is already dead for a few years at this point in time) and since he's Fado, he makes sure that the lady really wants it and does it completely voluntarily (because he wants nice consensual sex so he can imagine that he's sleeping with Lina !first self-delusion! 8D).
At that point in time Sophia is already in love with him (still a bit tentatively and denying it). (She's about 22 or 23)
Then the lady concubine leaves the capital for a while, so Fado gets no sex. He gets a bit grumpy and moody. Blue balls, you know. Sophia notices and in a little tempter tantrum Fado accidentically tells her why he is in such a bad mood. Awkwardness follows. Spontaneously Sophia offers her services (because she already convinced herself that she doesn't have any chance on having her crush returned but she still has sexual desires. And that would still her desires. And she would be close to Fado and could ~image~ that he loves her back !second self-delusion! 8D). Fado refuses since, well, you know the jazz; Sophia is close to his twins, she's his general and that might look pretty bad and he does view her more of a child than an equal (or does he?~)
They argue a bit and Fado seems to give in (because yay sex) so Sophia grabs and kisses him. Sex ensues. Afterwards they talk a bit about everything; Fado doesn't want to make her an official concubine and Sophia doesn't want it as well since it would look pretty bad to her peers. And it might be an insult to his official concubine. They would only come together in "emergencies". Fado shortly worries about possible offspring but Sophia calms him by saying that she's sterile (not sure if that's true or not).
So they then have a strange relationship. With Sophia suffering because she knows he doesn't love her like she loves him, but trying to imagine it and Fado just needing gratification and slightly suffering from being a widower (and a bit feeling guilty for using Sophia like this). Very weird.

Have I already mentioned that I'm planning an angst fest? 8D Because I do. And there can only be one protagonist for said angst fest 8D And Gloombox will appear as well. Because om nom nom purple angst.
I haven't forgot the prompts, of course. They will just follow later.
