-Family stuff, whether it's angst or floof, especially around fathers/father figures
-Pairings/relationship stuff
-usually upbeat endings

This just reminds me that there are not enough moms in FE to write about (Izzy is a meanieface because it's almost impossible for me to write her D8). They're all dead.

Well - there is the possibility of post-game fic, too :D Character A and Character B get hitched, and have ZILLIONS OF BABIES.
Not to mention things like the FE7 crowd and their canon children in FE6.
