Why am I thinking about hair? I don't know.

Has anyone else noticed that the older men (guessing at about 50) in Magvel (Duessel, Fado, Hayden, Viggy, Mansel, maybe Riev) all have hair that reaches at least their shoulders/covers most of their neck and is smoothed back? Intentional or coincidence? It's already my headcanon that longer hair is a traditional (or maybe just the fashion at the time? Though I'm not sure if some of the men mentioned above would care about fashion) hair-do for men of that age, but I'm wondering if someone else noticed.

Actually, that's pretty common in FE, so I don't think it's a coincidence. One FE6 writer... I think it was either Hitomi or Myaru... had some interesting meta once about hair length among the nobles of Etruria, and how long hair might potentially be a sign that a man had come of age.

I think there's a general trend in FE for "elder" characters to have the longer hair and longer robes, even if in their youth they might've dressed like the young playable characters.

Hm, yeah, but I find that it's much more inconsistent in the other games as in Magvel. In Elibe you get several knights who are close to that age range who have short hair. But I can totally see having long hair and clothes (and generally seemingly not so practical things for an average life) could be a sign of "I'm well off enough that I can wear fancy stuff without being hindered by them". Like pale skin and stuff.
