Ächem.

Hi.

I was absent for quite some time. And there is a good reason. ....

I've bought Skyrim.

;^; I'm never ever gonna get anything finished.

Farewell. Who knows when I will ever be able to stop.

PS: "The Dragonborn Comes" from Oblivion (or Morrowind?) and "Dragonborn" are such AWESOME and EPIC songs I don't even.

PPS: Raphi, I didn't forgot that I wanted to write you a longer review for your Mercenary fic, but Skyrim! (And a term paper *cough, cough* 8D )

I haven't gotten Skyrim yet. If I do get it, it'll be for my 360, but I'll wait until they do a Game of the Year edition or some such so I can get all the patches and fixes in one go.

If you haven't played Oblivion yet, I'd highly recommend it. And yeah, the Dragonborn theme is a modified version of Morrowind's theme song (but I cannot remember the name.)

Skyrim isn't bad but it removes a lot of fun features. Oblivion has a full on spellmaking system that feels much deeper and makes magic a lot more useful, and it's... much more colorful. Skyrim's muted setting really turned me off, and the people look... very messy. Oblivion also has more skills, and less of a perk system with it, which I personally prefer. But yeah, I know a lot of people who start with Skyrim so I always recommend Morrowind and Oblivion if not since the games are different enough to warrant playing them. Skyrim is also my least favorite of the modern 3 Elder Scrolls xD THough I still pent 1000+ hours with it >_>

Morrowind technically has the most features in terms of conversation and magic making but the combat definitely hasn't aged well IMO.
