Just saw it and IT WAS AMAZING. Thor has the most contagious smile EVER. I had to grin with him every time.

And so. Much. UNF. If you want to know how my ideal guy looks like; Thor is it 8D And Basch from FF12. And movie!Eomer. 8D You can keep your Ephraims and Akios, I want Thor (And Basch. And Eomer.) That beard and that hair 8D Perfect length and style, both of them. Thor´s body is very nice as well, but I don't care about beef that much. (Too much muscles scare me) I would still think him extremely hot if he had been chubby or something. 8D It all depends on the hair and beard.

Apart from the eye candy the movie was fun. Brother conflicts <3 Father - Son conflicts <3 I love Odin. Though he was nicer than I remembered him XD The real Odin was more of a douche. Loki was not as fun as the real Loki, but still awesome~ And Heim~ Though he was by far not as fun as Heimdall in Detective Loki 8D Oh gawd, I want to re-read that so badly~ And Frey was so cute XD Oh and Thor! So dorky and awesome. *squee*

Back on topic!

I liked Thor´s friends as well 8D I didn't hear their names apart from the girl, who's called Sith/Seth/Sif, I dunno. But I liked Gimli and Shakespeare more anyway because they are fun 8D Shakespeare was my first thought for the blond dude with the twirled beard (<3) and Bastian was the second, but after I got a closer look at his beard, I decided it was too un-Bastian-esque, which is why he was named Shakespeare. Though I am still confused why there was an Asian guy. Together with Norse gods. As in Scandinavian gods. For some reason it surprised me more than a black Heimdall. Oh well, they were awesome anyway. (Apart from Heim´s lips; big lips scare me ;A; And, no, I don't know why. But at least I dislike them on males and females equally).

I didn't buy the romance and the change in Thor because it was all very short, but it honestly didn't bug me as much as I thought it would. Because it was so clear that they'll kiss from the very beginning; almost from their first meeting, Thor and Jane had eye sex EVERYTIME they looked at each other. You could figuratively SEE how they undressed each other in their mind. XD And it was a hot kiss.

AND EYES SO BLUE SHOULD BE FORBIDDEN 8D

Unsurprisingly, I teared up when Loki told Thor that Odin is dead. I MEAN, FIRST THE QUARREL, THEN THE BANN AND THE LOKI COMES AND SAYS DADDY IS DEAD AND THOR IS ALL ALONE ;A; The sadness. Laughed when Thor was lying there "dead". As if anybody would think that he dies there. Pfff.

SO.

Awesome movie, damn hot main protagonist, watch it. Terribly fun~ And now I have to go on an icon hunt because I NEED GRINNING THOR. Like yesterday. And then I'll re-read Detective Loki 8D and then maybe read some Eomer&Theoden family sheningans, because I kinda feel like it 8D

Thor's friends are called Volstagg (Gimli), Fandral (Shakespeare) and Hogun. Uh, idk why Hogun's Asian either.

And yeah, the romance seemed forced. I could see Jane doing all the undressing him with her eyes, but to me Thor seemed less invested in that. And besides which, they barely know each other so....

The scenes with Loki were like, the best bits. ALL OF THEM. Man, Loki. He just wants to be loved.

I found it was more falling in lust than love, actually.

Loki could have been more sneaky :( He was so awesomely glorious and bastardly in the myths.

Yeah, definitely lust was there. Love? Not so much.

Yeah, many people are het up about the non-myth-ness of all the characters. But it is kind of distilled Norse gods; the movie of the comic book that is based loosely upon the myth. So what can you do?

Yeah, lack of icons is sad, but there should be more soon.

Hmhm~ I kinda want to look into the comic now, because Norse Gods are awesome 8D Even if they might not be as douchy as the originals~

As I've heard it, the comics span like fifty years or more and aren't really like the Norse myths. I mean, Thor is basically a superhero in the comics. He hangs around with other superheroes. It's not Norse mythology like I know it.

Besides, if I want fun Norse Gods who have the myths and slapstick and whackiness I read Detective Loki. XD
