Mostly a fangirling post :p
7/10/10 21:28First the non-fangirling part, otherwise I can't stop myself later :P So, I've studied a bit the history of the medieval tournament and found interesting and awesome stuff. Especially those ... anecdotes. It's just awesome. I found a cross-dressing knight, can you believe that? Also, other things and something very unusual and special! In 1434 King Eduard of Spain wrote a manual about jousting (and how to train)! That's extremely unusual, because almost no-one wrote something akin to manuals back then, only exceptions are books on falconry. It's awesome and will be part of the essay that I plan to write in the next days and hopefully post sometime around weekend. But I think I need to draw a few illustrations because the original descriptions are already a bit confusing and I'm not to sure if I can manage to make them more clear in English. Therefore you will get probably some crappy art as well.
Now on to the fangirling :D
Dear Cedric,
you're awesome. You really, really are. I don't like what you did to Wilfred. Yes, he did disobey you and he fell in love with Rowena whom you're very protective of and want to marry off to Athelstane because of political reasons. Your character is still awesome. But I wouldn't love you so much if the scene after the tournament didn't exist. You banished Wilfred and generally express your disappointment and hate for his actions, but still! When you saw that he was the ass-kicking knight who was mortally wounded, your feelings as a father overwhelmed you and you tried to save him (Well, you couldn't because someone else had already carried him away, but the want was there). You're awesome. That scene made me squee. And of course most of the other scenes with you after that. I love you, stay as awesome as you are and I will forever be your fangirl,

Also, dear Black Knight a.k.a. Sir Sluggard and dear strange Monk,
you both are hilarious. Black Knight, I still can't stop picturing you either as the FE!Black Knight or the MontyPython!Black Knight, but nonetheless you're funny and awesome. Please continue kicking ass. Monk, you're the best monk that ever existed. I want you in Fire Emblem right now.
